‘Playful Pieces for three’ is intended as supplementary material to other teaching books and is aimed at intermediate students. It contains 10 pieces for six-hands piano and is book numer 2 in the series of six-hands piano. The melodies are shared between the voices but each part also makes sense when practised on its own.
 
Using ensemble pieces the students learn to listen to themselves but also to the others in the group. The piano is often regarded as a solo-instrument and it is a challenge for us piano teachers to create an instructive ensemble. Six-hands piano pieces can help to create a fun and important learning experience.
